Distractions

It’s all a distraction from the real battle. The one between God and the enemy that wages war every single day.

What we believers have to recognize is that we can push away the noise. We can get down to the hard work of walking one foot in front of the other on the path of Jesus.

Read your Bible. Read it alone. Read it interrupted. Read it with your kids.

Talk about God and His character. All. The. Time. You can’t know God if you don’t learn His character from His word, not the world. Talk about what you like and don’t like. Talk about what you don’t understand and pray for wisdom. He is faithful to give it.

Go outside. Read books. Love your neighbor.

If we didn’t live in such a digital age, we would know a portion of what we are now inundated with... so be aware, yes, but you focus on what you can actually do... what you can actually impact.

That’s the people right in front of you.

That’s your relationship with God.

That’s your prayer life.

Ask for His help and watch Him move and then celebrate His goodness.

He’s had a plan all along. We see part of it fulfilled in Jesus. But there’s more... Jesus is coming back, and we know that God fulfills His promises.

Get focused, sister. Lose the distractions. Do what matters.
